General Tips

Temperature Conversion
Maritime transport

Maritime transport is usually quoted in cubic meter, but it may also be quoted in kilos. The following formula is provided to convert inches to cubic meters:

H" (height) x W" (width) x D" (distance) ÷ 1728 = result (in cubic feet)

Multiply the result in cubic feet by 0.0283 in order to get the result in cubic meters.

Air transport

Air transport is usually quoted in kilos. When the cargo has large dimensions and low weight, the dimensional weight will be higher than the actual weight. Dimensional weight is calculated as follows:

H" (height) x W" (width) x D" (distance) ÷ 166 = result (in lbs)

It means that you must multiply the three cargo dimensions in inches and divide the result by 166. The end result is the dimensional weight in pounds.

Always remember that the freight is calculated in kilos, so you must convert the weight in pounds to kilos (multiply by 0.453).
